Weekend Blogging Tip #2 - 10 Affirmations For Improved Writing
I have worked as a Computer Software Technical Writer for about ten (10) years now, and strangely enough, it is the affirmation process within my mind that allows me to keep on top of myself and maintain optimal performance. Here are some affirmation-suggestions for you to stay fresh as you write day to day, whether for work, school or for your blog.
1. I am confident about my ability to express my ideas: this affirmation will help you translate ideas into words.
2. I am confident that others will enjoy reading my article: know that what you are writing is a good thing and that others will benefit in some way.
3. I am providing a solution: what I am writing about will help someone in someway develop an important solution in their life.
4. I am creative in my style: I am able to utilize creative ways of expressing ideas, perhaps in ways where traditional means don’t work.
5. I am traditional about expectations: I know that others are impatient for the punch line, still, I will elaborate what needs explanation for full reader comprehension.
6. I ask the right questions as I write: I have correctly asked questions that will help me to generate quality content.
7. I am not afraid of criticism: this is an important affirmation that will help you to deal with super-critical readers.
8. I am able to brainstorm effectively: it is important to have broad and general ideas, always, before filling in the details.
9. I have a strong command of my native language: have faith that you are well versed in the details of your own language, and are able to express yourself.
10. I love to write: this affirmation will always help you to re-engage in writing and deliver quality content for your readers.
